Just wanted to share some pictures from Shaun's first Easter! Although we were sad that we couldn't be with family, we had a wonderful day with our friends Tyler and Lauren and their little girl, Avery. Shaun wore his first necktie and I have to say, he looked pretty darn cute!!! See for yourself!!!
A place for friends and family to keep up with the ever exciting life of Mike, Kris, Shaun and Jake. But if we are being completely honest here...mostly it's all about Shaunie!!!

New bath toy!
Thought you might enjoy this new video of Shaun in the bathtub. He got an Easter basket from his Grandma and this fun fountain toy was inside. Tonight was the first bath using it and he smiled and played the whole time! Good buy Mom!!!! Thanks!
Shaun is doing great! Hard to believe he will be 7 months next week! As you can tell from the pictures and videos he is loving sitting up. We can put him on the floor with a couple of toys and he will entertain himself which has been great! We have been trying to encourage crawling but he has never been a big fan of tummy time so it isn't looking like we will have a mover anytime soon. Which is fine with us! We are dreading having to baby proof this house!!!
Shaun has also become quite the eater! If you couldn't tell from the oatmeal video, he is quite a fan of food!!! I am still making my own baby food. Mike and I take a few hours every Sunday and spend it in the kitchen peeling and chopping as we prepare his food for the week. So far he has tried apples, pears, bananas, plums, carrots, peas, butternut squash and sweet potato. Just this week we introduced him to chicken. Used a recipe out of a baby puree book. Sauteed it with some sweet potato, apple, onion and spices. The consistency of chicken when put in a food processor is a little disturbing but no surprise...Shaun LOVED it!!! The ladies at his daycare say that he "has quite the appetite for a boy his age." And don't I know it! Most nights he cries after dinner wanting us to make more!
We are looking forward to dressing him up in his shirt and tie for Easter this weekend. Pictures to come!!!!

Shaun's first birthday party!
Hope everyone is having a great weekend! We spent our Saturday at a friends house celebrating their daughter's first birthday party. Hard to believe we will be throwing one of our own in just 5 months! Shaun definitely had his pick of the ladies. Out of 7 babies, Shaun was one of only two boys! Four of us all had babies within one month of each other!!!
Wanted to include some pics of Shaun's big day. We were told to bring his bathing suit because they had a couple of baby pools and water toys set up. As you can see below, Shaun was a big fan! We are actually heading out this afternoon to buy one of these for our own house. Seems like the perfect place for him to play on these hot Florida summer days!!! Sorry for all the pics but there are just too many cute ones!!!!

A great weekend in Jax!
I'm so sad it's Monday. We had such a nice weekend. Friday night we had our neighbors over for an Italian potluck dinner at our house. Everyone brought an Italian dish and a bottle of wine. This was our second time doing this and just like last time...we had SO MUCH FOOD!!! Definitely plenty of leftovers which is one of the best parts!!!
Saturday we decided to take Shaun to his first Gator game. The Gators have a scrimmage game every spring called the Orange and Blue game. So we drove to Gainesville and exposed Shaun to the madness that is Gainesville on game day. It was a little warmer than we anticipated so we had to seek out shade but as you can see in the pictures below, Shaun didn't seem to mind. He fell asleep within the first ten minutes of walking into the stadium.
Saturday night Mike and I got a sitter and went out on a much needed date. We ate a fabulous meal and just enjoyed having a night to ourselves. We spent the rest of the weekend relaxing. It was wonderful!
